Chatsworth Chiefs Cheer & Dance
Organization
Chatsworth Youth Sports, Inc. (CYSI) was established in 1970 to allow young athletes, ages 5 to 14 to compete in an organized Track, Football and Cheer program(s.) CYSI is a volunteer organization operating as a non-profit corporation. Chatsworth Youth Sports, Inc. is financed entirely through registration fees, donations, and sponsors. This organization does not receive any Federal or State funding and is operated solely by it's dedicated Board of Directors, coaches and volunteers.
Mission Statement
The mission of the organization is to inspire youth to practice ideals of health, citizenship and character; to bring the Chatsworth and surrounding areas youth together through the means of a common interest in sportsmanship, fair play and fellowship; to impart to the youth of the community the element of honesty, loyalty, courage and reverence.
Our Goal
To provide safe and well organized sports based environment where athletes are coached and prepared for supervised competition, with an emphasis on good sportsmanship and the importance of high academic achievement. To teach by example the fundamentals of sports, the sports rules and what it means to demonstrate good sportsmanship in the pursuit of athletic excellence
Rules and Policies
Every parent/guardian & player is required to read the Chatsworth Chiefs Cheer handbook and abide by the policies outlined here. All parents/guardians & players are required to return a signed parent/guardian & player contract signed by both parents/guardians & players certifying that they have read and understand this document.
Roles and Responsibilities
Chatsworth Chiefs Cheer is operated entirely by VOLUNTEERS. Every activity that is part of our program occurs through the efforts of volunteers. Board members and coaches donate approximately 200 hours or more each season to assure that we offer the highest quality program to our children. It is critical that every volunteer be treated with courtesy and respect at all times. Find out how you can help.
